How to thrive through the discomfort of change?

The time we live in and abrupt changes we are facing are challenging, to say the least. It seems like everything around us and within us unapologetically demands us to be present and look at the situation we are experiencing.

We’re starting to realize that pointing fingers and blaming something or someone on the outside doesn’t work. We now know that this kind of behavior will not change the situation for the better. It will just solidify all the problems into existence.

One good thing about people is that when we truly don’t have anywhere else to turn to, we turn within. Hard times motivate us to learn, evolve, and change many aspects of or lives if we want to continue living.

In ideal times we would have some time to prepare ourselves for the deep dive. Every significant change or transition in our lives comes with a certain set of steps. We get a little bit more anxious when something different is upon us.

In ideal times we have the luxury of easing into change. Remember, when you were younger and went to school for the first time? That would count as one of those moments. Then, when you were a little bit older, you started a new job, entered a new relationship, or maybe even experienced the death of a loved one. The truth is, some changes were and are easier than the rest.

Change often knocks on the doors of our lives, and it seems we have no control over whatsoever, even when we know she is coming. Not having control is a huge factor in refusing change. I would love to tell you that we can figure our lives out in our heads and that it would quiet the loud noises and restless thoughts. But it is not so. And this is not bad news. Essentially this is good news

Every abrupt change creates little spaces that we can learn to nurture. Those spaces are not good or bad – they’re here to gift you more energy of possibilities.

Most of our lives, we were taught to build walls of limitations instead of creating spaces of possibilities. So now, when this space welcomes you, you don’t know what to do with it. You don’t know how to command it. This space does not respond to your limitations, and it does not respond to your demand for answers.

But it does respond when you are willing to ask a question. Only then will it begin to flicker with possibilities and contribute to a different world.

Even if it doesn’t feel like it, the present time is filled with possibilities for a different future. Future that can lead us to united humanity, or lead us into even dark times of even more separation. The truth is, whether you like it or not that we were living in a pretense of separation – separation from others, separation from the Earth, but mainly separation from ourselves.

We were living separated from our bodies, separated from the awareness of our being, separated from who and what we are in our essence. The situation we are faced with right now did not just happen as an unfortunate event. This situation is our teacher.

Now more than ever, we have to acknowledge that every one of us is a creator, and it’s our collective choices that brought us to this dynamic time of the present.

There has never been a better time to ask ourselves important questions:

  • What seeds am I planting for the future?
  • Am I even aware I am creating the future?

What if your willingness to allow change is way more significant than your drive to understand change? Yes, we live on this planet, but we also live in a vast universe. We coexist with elements we cannot even begin to comprehend with our minds. That leads us to an acknowledgment that there is a bigger game at play—a game of being instead of a game of mind.

These times are inviting us to explore different ways of living and also different ways of functioning. We will have to step into various capabilities we have as beings. We will begin to perceive, know, be, and receive instead of think, feel, and emote. As a result, our bodies will evolve on a different scale.

That space, where discomfort becomes your best friend and where chaos is all you can perceive – that is the space where the consciousness of the whole universe kicks the doors of creation wide open. Just for you. So jump on in and get on the ride of your life!

You have become the tool for creation to come through from the spacious universe into existence, into this reality. Living is occurring right now, and you have been chosen to carry the message of consciousness through space and time and bring it to this lush planet. Just think about what miracle you must be to have been given a task like this?

Consciousness has a message for you:  “The time has come for you to spread your wings and fly beyond the horizon. The time has come for you to shine! I am counting on you.”

Don’t fear change. It’s here to help you fly.
